Welcome to 2009. Stay tuned to HTBWMedia.com For all the best News, Information, and Entertainment. 2008 was a year of firsts for HTBWMedia.com. Since this is all about new beginnings, I guess I should start out with the birth of HTBW. To be quite honest, HTBWMedia.com was sort of an organic endeavor, it started out as a nameless creation designed to promote my Security Alarm Installation business. Starting back in 2007, I had been playing around with the idea of website promotion and S.E.O. for my own Security Alarm Company. I created a couple of Blogs, wrote a few articles and was off to the races. Little did I know, at the time, this venture would promote my little Security Alarm Installation Company's website to Page one or the three major search engines. The hits started to flow in from around the world as did local business. In analyzing the search engine statistics, I realized there was an incredible demand for information out there. People such as Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton were demanding huge amounts of traffic. At around the same time, I decided to get into Making Wine as a hobby and pastime. These developments spurred the creation of a number of Blogs including a Current Events / Hot Search Topics blog. http://Soyawannaknow.blogspot.com rapidly became one of the HTBW hot performers. Alongside a newly developed Wine Making Blog, http://fermentedfruits.blogspot.com and an Opinion Blog entitled http://shitfourbrains.blogspot.com HTBW was on its way to making a few pennies a day.
Tired of the whole pay-per-click arena, I decided to look for an ad provider who focused on Pay-per-Impression ads and came across Adbrite. If found Iggy's creation quite easy and user friendly. My first month didn't really garner me any money. I think I pulled in 3 bucks. I continued to create Blogs and find hot content which garnered me my first $100 month. Since that time, we have gone through the US Federal Election, Sarah Palin's stupidity, Barack Obama Mania, Ashley Dupre, Hurricane's, Tornado's, Earthquake's, The Brangelina Twins, the Britney Spears Meltdown and rise up, Lindsay Lohan unofficially turning lesbian, sex tapes, sex scandals and a Tiffany Shepherd - a sexy Florida Biology Teacher and Beautiful Women showing us their wares and naked pictures of Celebrities like Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie, Sienna Miller, Jenna Bush and Lindsay Lohan's Marilyn Munroe Poses. The curious were looking for clips of the Nailin' Paylin Porno and the twisted wanted to become Pen Pals with Death Row inmates. There were stories of hope, stories of fear and stories of loss. All in all, 2008 was a year full of information and HTBW was there. In November of 2008, I decided to take this whole HTBW thing one step further. I knew there was money to be made at Blogging; my AdBrite cheques were definite proof of that. Since HTBW originally spawned out of my Search Engine Optimization (SEO) activities, I decided it was about time I used the skills and knowledge I had developed to help other small businesses get the recognition they deserved. After sharing some of the tricks with some of my Alarm business customers, several clients were asking me to help them promote their online ventures. At first I was a little hesitant as my schedule was very full. After several declines, I finally decided to say yes. After all, the economy was going to hell in a hand basket and the construction industry was taking a tanker. I needed to prepare something for the future, just in case the security alarm business went flaccid. I stepped up my Blogging and SEO activities and soon registered www.HTBWMedia.com as the Domain for my SEO and Blogging endeavors. I created a Paypal account for future payments and started to do a little research into Shopping Carts. Although I have not fully developed the sales end of HTBWMedia.com, ads continue to be the mainstay of the business and they continue to grow. 2008 was also a year of loss and gain. I was witness to the tragic loss of a human life and the experience led me to blog about what I was witness to. Although the passing of Jasmine Javier was a very tragic event, the feedback on my blog taught me the power and responsibility within the realm of Blog Media. I met some very nice and caring people in the friends, co-workers and family of Jasmine. I feel the experience, although traumatic, has left me with a greater respect for the time we have on this planet earth and the people we are blessed to spend this time with. 2009 will be a benchmark year for HTBWMedia.com as the big three have already grasped onto the Domain and are bringing in some hits. As the days go by, and the content slowly grows, HTBWMedia.com is bringing in new viewers and redirecting them to the various HTBW Blogs. Ongoing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) activities as well as new and relevant content are keeping HTBWMedia.com as well as the various HTBW Blogs in the forefront of the information highway.
